Whether it was arranging transport, offering great local tips, or ensuring our needs were met promptly, Asanga’s dedication to guest satisfaction was evident. The hotel also boasts a fantastic restaurant with a diverse menu, showcasing both local and international flavors. If you're a foodie, you’ll love the variety and quality of the dishes. And for those who want to unwind, the rooftop bar offers stunning views of the city, making it the perfect spot to relax after a long day. All in all, Ishq Hotel combines comfort, style, and top-tier service. It’s definitely a place I would recommend, and big thanks to Asanga for making our experience even more special!

Last stay (1 night) of our Sri Lanka trip and one of the highlights. We booked a double room but got a much appreciated upgrade. The Villa is an architecture gem, with curated design, rooms and garden. Top notch service and hospitality, with right level of attentiveness. Restaurant is also high level although a bit pricey, but worth it. Only missing coffee machine/kettle in the room, the rest of the amenities was great.

This is an exceptional property with exceptional staff. With just four rooms the staff are able to provide personal attention of the highest standard. Our ‘personal butler’ Ashan was outstanding, always available, personable and a good source of advice. The food is great too. If you like busy hotels full of people this is not the place. If you want privacy, high quality and great service, well located, this is hard to beat.

This was the best hotel we have ever been to. Firstly, when we booked the hotel, we certainly didn't expect THAT much! Everything was not just perfect, everything was delightful. The place itself, the staff, the atmosphere, the design, the facilities, the comfort - 100 out of 10. There is simply no point in listing all the pros, everyone has to live the experience. We didn't like Sri Lanka but we are ready to come back just for Ishq!

Location was central yet tranquil. Stylish in both architecture and interior design. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we could wish for. Staff were superb - Asanga the butler was friendly, helpful and kind (as were all the staff). The chef took time to come and chat about the food which was excellent.
